Summer beginner's yoga & meditation course

There are just eight places for our new 8-week beginner's yoga and meditation class. Held at the beautiful Hummingbird pilates & yoga centre near Writtle, Chelmsford, the course will be an introduction to hatha yoga and meditation.

Yoga is an ancient form of meditation, and the two disciplines cannot be separated. Together, they are a powerful mind/body system for optimum health and wellbeing.

This long class will introduce students of all ages and abilities to the fundamentals of hatha yoga, and meditation. We will learn postures (asanas) developed to strengthen the body and retain mobility.

We will take our time to de-construct the poses, with a focus on attention to detail and alignment - setting up the foundations of a strong yoga practice. The class will close with a long relaxation session and some meditation to calm and centre the mind.

Yoga (meaning 'union') is as much a lifestyle and attitude as a set of physical postures.  During the course, we will introduce different 'off the mat' themes, based on ancient yoga philosophy.

The 8-week course, which is strictly limited to eight students, will cost £96 (£12 for each 90 minute class). To pay and book for this course, please pay online above, or email me asap.

* Complete beginners to yoga and/or meditation
* Those with some previous experience, who would like to re-visit familiar postures and focus on the 'basics' of the major postures.
* Those who would like to learn the basics, in a safe environment with a good deal of individual attention (due to small class)
* Anyone who'd like to relax, de-stress and tone up
* Anyone who wants to give yoga or meditation a go!
