A little about me...

I first became hooked on yoga around 13 years ago, when I tried out a class at a local leisure centre. It was a revelation that perceived lack of fitness and co-ordination were no barrier to a strong practice!

In 2007, I completed the Sivanada yoga teacher training course in Northern California, and have since taken further teacher trainings with highly regarded US teachers Sarah Powers, and Judith Lasater. I am a registered Relax and Renew TrainerĀ®, certified by Judith Lasater.

In addition to standard yoga classes, I am fully qualified (by ME specialist and yoga teacher Fiona Agombar) to teach those suffering from ME,  Chronic Fatigue and related conditions.

My meditation studies have included silent meditation retreats at the lovely Gaia House, and completing the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme, now available (in patches) on the NHS to treat anxiety and depression.

I now teach private and group classes in and around Chelmsford and London (see timetable page). My teaching style draws on a range of traditions - especially mindfulness meditation, & viniyoga - and aims to present yoga as, essentially, an awareness practice.

I believe passionately in yoga's ability to transform both body and mind, regardless of the student's age or background.
